APPROACH TO THERAPY
As an integrative counsellor, I have undertaken training in humanistic, psychodynamic, somatic experiencing and cognitive behavioural models. This allows me to draw upon a range of therapeutic modalities, maximising the benefits of therapy, whilst creating a safe, effective therapeutic alliance.

CLIENT-CENTRED THERAPY
Getting more in-tune with yourself
-
Your view of the world.
-
How you view yourself.
-
Mismatches between how you view yourself and how you wish you were, can cause internalised emotional distress. Rebalancing these discrepancies can help to lessen unpleasant feelings and increase your feelings of self-worth

PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPY
Becoming more consciously aware
-
Understand how your past could be impacting your present day behaviours
-
Explore your emotions, including those feelings that you may not be aware of
-
Make the unconscious elements of your life part of your present experience; to help understand how your behaviour and mood could be affected by unresolved issues and these unconscious feelings

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING THERAPY
Modifying the trauma-related stress response via the body.
-
Survival energy stored within the body, how this impacts on health.
-
How the body remembers.
-
Explore how your body keeps you feeling 'stuck'; tune into your body to improve the way you feel mentally and physically.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
Reframing unhelpful thinking habits and behavioural patterns
-
What you think and do affects the way you feel.
-
Address your thoughts and feelings in the here and now.
-
Uncover what keeps you feeling 'stuck'; make practical changes to your actions to improve the way you feel.
AUTONOMY
It is your choice on how you decide to approach therapy. This can be face to face, virtual/online, telephone, or walk and talk
